About the founder

Hi! My name is Maeve Farrell. I am a senior at Lake Forest High School in Lake Forest, Illinois. I was inspired to start this organization in my sophomore year of high school by my family, generations of whom have served in the military. My grandfather trained at Fort Dix in New Jersey in 1965 before being stationed in Alaska. His dad and uncles all taught infantry training before him at Fort Dix in 1936 and 1937. My Uncle John served in the Marine Corps for 11 years, departing in 1999 as a decorated captain with the National Defense metal, Arctic Service Ribbon, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. My cousin Luke is a current cadet at West Point. Those in the military work every day with the goal to make our country a better place, something I find truly inspiring. My mission is to offer support for the military community through raising awareness and funds while connecting members of the younger generation with opportunities allowing them to help their heroes.
